Many electrified vehicles cost more than one with an internal combustion engine. However, since they’re so much better for the environment, many are eligible for federal tax credits and state incentives, such as the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid tax credit. Federal Tax Credits
Many electric, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid vehicles are eligible for a sizable federal tax credit. The Chrysler Pacifica PHEV is available for the full credit of $7,500, if it’s a 2022 model or newer. Both the Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe and Jeep Wrangler 4xe are available for a partial $3,750 tax credit, if they are a 2022 model or newer. The models must have an MSRP under $80,000.
Chrysler Pacifica PHEV
The state of Delaware provides additional perks to help convince owners to make the electric switch. Owners or lessees of the Chrysler Pacifica are also eligible for these state incentives:
- Grid-Integrated Energy Credit – retail electric customers may be eligible to receive kilowatt-hour credits
- Clean Vehicle Rebate Program – a cash rebate for qualifying purchased or leased vehicles
Jeep Wrangler 4xe and Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe
The Clean Vehicle Rebate Program is also available for the Jeep Wrangler 4xe and the Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe. The cash rebate is available to individuals, or through participating dealerships, for qualifying purchased or leased vehicles. The vehicle’s total price cannot exceed $60,000 in order to qualify.
